Pupil inspection vindicated

17 Mar 2009

A short while ago I wrote my Guardian column about Caversham Primary school, near Reading which had pioneered 'pupil Ofsteds'.

Well, now I am delighted to report that the real Ofsted inspectors have been into the school and have confirmed the pupils' findings.

As Ofsted reported: 'pupils inspect their school annually and their report provides an accurate assessment of school perfromance'.

So does that mean Ofsted can just leave it to the pupils in future?
