Children's Plan: disappointing

It was the Soviet Union that did 'Ten Year Plans' so maybe they are not the best role model for a Labour government.

Great things were expected after all the build-up but - like an England football performance - it didn't live up to the billing.

Yes, there are lots of good things in it. One or two imaginative ideas. But the big disappointment is that the 'root and branch' of primary education is hardly that since the parameters are so tightly set.
